Support and recovery

Your system, looked after - or put right.

Many businesses already run ERPNext. Some went live on numbers nobody trusts; some lost the implementer halfway through; some are three versions behind and afraid to upgrade. We take over existing installations, fix what is wrong, and keep them running.

What you get

What support and recovery cover

Support starts with an assessment, because we will not be on call for a system we have not read. After that it is the same monthly arrangement as our Care retainer.

An assessment of what you have

Configuration, customisations, data quality, version, hosting and backups reviewed, and written up as a ranked list of what is wrong and what it costs you.

Fixing the books

Opening balances that never reconciled, stock valuations that drifted, duplicate customers and half-used modules put right, with your accountant checking the result.

Upgrades without the fear

Major version upgrades tested on a copy of your system first, with custom code moved into proper apps so the next upgrade is routine.

Hosting and backups

Hosting on infrastructure we run, on Frappe Cloud, or on your own servers - monitored, patched and backed up, with restores tested on a schedule.

Someone to call

A named team that knows your setup, answering in agreed times, with a few days of changes each month for the reports and tweaks that otherwise pile up.

Training for new staff

Refresher and new-starter training on your own processes, because most ERP problems start when the person who was trained leaves.

Is this right for you

Right for you if

  • You run ERPNext and the person or firm who set it up is gone
  • The numbers in it are not trusted, so the real work happens in spreadsheets
  • You are several versions behind and nobody wants to be the one to upgrade

Not the right buy if

  • You only want someone on call for code nobody is allowed to look at - we assess first

How it runs

What happens, step by step

An implementation is not finished when the screens work. It is finished when your opening balances, stock and customer ledgers agree with the books you are leaving, your invoices clear eTIMS, and your team can close a month without calling us.

01 Assess Read-only access and a walk-through with the people who use it. You get a written report, whether or not you continue with us.
02 Stabilise The urgent fixes from the report done as a fixed-price piece of work, so the system is in a state someone can stand behind.
03 Support Monthly support from then on - monitoring, backups, upgrades, changes and a team that answers.

What it costs

What it costs to get started

Starting prices. The final figure is fixed in writing before any work starts, and does not move once it is. ERPNext has no licence fee per user.

What people ask about support and recovery

Will you take over a system another company built?

Yes, after an assessment. We read the configuration and any custom code first, so we know what we are agreeing to support.

Our implementer modified ERPNext directly. Can it still be upgraded?

Usually, yes. The modifications are moved into a separate app first, which is the work that makes upgrades routine from then on.

Can we move from Frappe Cloud to our own hosting, or the other way?

Yes. ERPNext is open source and portable. Moves are done from a full backup, tested on the destination, and cut over outside business hours.

Is it worth fixing, or should we start again?

The assessment answers that. Starting again is rarely right, because the transaction history has value, but where it is the cheaper route the report will say so.

Every question we get asked is on one page, if you would rather read the lot.
